Why I can’t bring myself to read long e-books

1. My eyes hurt.
2. The icons distract me.
3. I end up chatting online.
4. I don’t feel or flip through anything.
5. I scroll so fast I don’t get the point.
6. I can’t smell the pages.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer the real ones.

I agree! My computer just doesn't have the feel of a good book.

You are right. E-books are not as nice for all the reasons you listed! There is something so nice about the scent of a good book.
My aunt is from the Phillipines. She met my mom's brother who was in the American navy many years ago. They now live in Oahu, Hawaii. (Just thought I'd share a brief "small world" story.)

@nephos: There's never going to be a replacement for the real books, I guess. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

@laurie: It's a small world indeed, thanks for sharing. And they live in Hawaii? How cool is that?
